A fish room first, a store second. Premier Tropicals began over twenty years ago with two tanks in a Florida garage and a pair of convict cichlids that refused to stop breeding.
Our Story
A Father-and-Son Passion
Today our Green Cove Springs facility runs hundreds of aquariums dedicated to African cichlids, plecos and the plants and hardscape that make them shine.
We are still family-run, and we still do things the slow way: quarantine every arrival, condition every fish on quality food, and pack every box like it is going to our own tanks. When you order from us, you are buying from the people who raised the fish.

How We Do Things
Tank-raised first
Whenever a species can be bred in captivity, we breed it. Tank-raised fish arrive hardier, feed faster and spare wild populations.
14-day quarantine
Nothing is listed for sale the week it arrives. Every fish passes a minimum two-week quarantine and must be eating confidently before it appears on the site.
Honest listings
Real quantities, real sizes, real photos of the actual strain. If a batch is small or a fish is young, the listing says so.
